Zoe Beenstock is a senior lecturer at the Department of English at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.  She has articles published and forthcoming in European Romantic ReviewJournal of the History of Ideas, MLQSEL 1500-1900, and Philosophy and Literature. She is the author of The Politics of Romanticism: The Social Contract and Literature (Edinburgh, 2016) and is currently writing a book on Palestine in eighteenth-century British literature, supported by a four-year Israel Science Foundation Grant, and by scholarships for archival research at the Yale Center for British Art, and at the Huntington Library. She is co-organizer of the Haifa Center for Mediterranean History Research Group “Levant Antiquarianism in European History and Literature, 1500-1850.”
